Pedestrian Traffic Control
Using pedestrian traffic control systems helps to ensure the safe movement of people. A turnstile, whether mechanical or optical, is a form of gate which allows pedestrian traffic to pass from one area to another, one at a time.
From a security standpoint, turnstiles allow authorized personnel into restricted areas while giving an accurate, verifiable count of persons in that area during emergencies. They can enforce one-way traffic, and can restrict entry if someone doesn’t have the proper access control credential.
Benefits
- Ensure the safe movement of people in permanent or temporary situations
- Restrict access while allowing the efficient movement of people
- Integrate with access control systems
